FOUNDER
Born and raised in Massarossa, Italy, Riccardo traveled to the United States when he was in his early 20's. With a true passion for high quality Italian meats and cheese, he eventually moved to Colorado and opened Deli Italia in 1987.
As our chief buyer, Riccardo seeks out the finest aged, prosciuttos, cured measts, olive oils, and cured cheeses for the market! His deep knowledge of the process of cheese making, fermentation, and Italian cooking, make him an invaluable resource to the honored customers Deli Italia Market has served over the past 27 years in business!
Robert "Bobby" Boffa
OWNER, GENERAL MANAGER
Bobby's house specialty items are steeped in the tradition of craftsmanship and love. His New York Italian background and travels through Europe ignited his passion for authentic Italian cuisine!
After over 15 years with Marriott Hotels, Bobby is pursuing his dream of managing an Old World Market in the city he has called home for over 40 years, in Lakewood, CO. Beginning in his teens, he has apprenticed as a true "pizzaiola", operating two pizzarias in the 1980's and 90's. He believes "the making of a truly delicious pizza is an art form - not a fast food product!"
After two years studying under the guidance of the original owner, Riccardo, Bobby is carrying on the 27 year tradition of serving quality Itailian foods in the Denver Metro area. Come and let our family serve your family!
